When looking for love, should you focus on "being what others want" and making yourself appealing?Or, should you focus on "figuring out what you want" and going after the love life you desire? Now, here's where I further cement my place as "The Attraction Doctor" and settle this debate.

If you can’t stand the person but have a great physical relationship, rethink the relationship. If one person is uncomfortable with any type of physical expression, don’t do it. Don’t push a date to do anything that makes him/her feel uncomfortable.

Too often, people lose themselves in relationships.

Your new love doesn’t necessarily have to like all your friends, but if they love you, they’ll respect that you need time for both friends and love in your life. Some might think: “We get along, have fun together, are attracted to one another …religion won’t be a big deal. ” The thing is, the whole point of believing in something is that it should be a big deal in our lives.

Physical touch/intimacy should correspond with commitment. This doesn’t mean anything goes if you are engaged. What is your motivation -- power and control, gratifying your own ego, meeting a selfish need, or genuine affection?

If you feel convicted of certain behaviors, stop doing them.
